It's Complicated

Watched this film last night and this is the reason why I had tears in my eyes when I was about to sleep. I was so affected by how the movie ended. I hate it when movies make me fall in love with the couple that are perfect for each other and letting me hope that they'd end up happily ever after, BUT  THEN IN THE IN THEY DON'T. It just makes me so mad!

The movie was beautiful (not that I support having an affair with your married ex-husband, or any kind of affair for that matter), Jake and Jane looked so cute sneaking out with each other even if they're over 40 -- what is it with me and old people? Am I born in the wrong generation or something? -- having midnight sex or just talking about old times while eating the yummiest foods I've seen in a movie. I gotta learn how to cook, if I want my kitchen and fridge to look as good as Jane's.

Not only that, Jane's (Meryl Streep) character got me inspired to put up my own bakery in the future and not just any kind of bakery I want it to be something like Bread Talk -- classy and elegant. But I have to learn how to bake first. The food looked so good, and her kids seemed so happy when their mum would cook for them. I want that one day, I don't want to be the mum who can't cook and is judged by their mother-in-law. Oh my, I don't want that. Jake (Alec Baldwin) isn't a hard man to fall in love with, he has that look that could melt any girl's heart and a smile that you could not say no to. SO, naturally I hated him for cheating on Jane which caused the break up in the first place.

Lesson learned: Do not have an affair, or better yet don't even think of having one in the first place. because in the back of every divorced couple's minds there would always be that nagging question: "What If?"
